Roanoke Workers’ Assembly

Roanoke Workers’ Assembly (RoWA) was formed in January 2025 by members of Roanoke Peoples’ Power Network (RPPN), an independent working-class organization that operated in Roanoke, VA since 2017.

RoWA is a network of rank-and-file workers, who are members of opposition caucuses, local unions, worker organizations, organizing committees, and unorganized workers ready to organize, committed to building workers’ power across all industries in the greater Roanoke area, including the City of Roanoke and surrounding counties.

RoWA is a chapter of the Southern Workers Assembly (SWA), a regional network of grassroots organizations dedicated to empowering workers, amplifying their voices, and advocating for justice across the South.

Together, we are building collective power, one worker at a time.
